I’m fifty something, struggling to make sense of life and find my place in the world.
Separated in June 2007 and now divorced, I’m embarked upon what promises to be the most exciting time of my life. I’m in the process of rediscovering the silly, inquisitive, fun loving person I used to be. I currently spend most of my life on the ‘phone to Ginger in the US. We are engaged, and when my visa is sorted I’m moving to the USA to be with her and our extended family will grow to five children and four cats.
I’ve re-discovered photography, which is becoming my overwhelming passion, I’m posting my favourite pictures on my photo blog When I get time (which is rare) I enjoy films, music and reading. I used to do a lot of sailing but work got in the way. Nowadays any holiday I have are spent in the USA.
I’ve gone through a lot of changes in the past year or so. I’m trying to back fill this blog to record what happened. I’m writing it all up in the present tense, using e-mails, comments and notes to try and make it as accurate as I can. But at the end of the day this is my perspective and my life.
